Last weekend, I was lucky enough to escape to the beautiful Sunshine Coast. While it was technically a weekend of work, as I was attending a business conference, I still managed to fit in a beach walk every morning and plenty of fun.

Today, I’m sharing a few photos of the resort where the conference was held and where we stayed, the Novotel Twin Waters and surrounds. The resort is set amongst 36 hectares of natural bushland and is just across the road from the beach. They even have over water lagoon suites (see pic below).

The conference itself was AWESOME. I’ll do a later post on my learning experience, as there’s soooo much information to go through. Needless to say, it was definitely a fabulous weekend :).

Most of the rooms are set in two-storey buildings mapped out across the resort

The kids (and big kids) just LOVE the water park!

Off to the Gala Dinner – I think I need more practice at taking selfies! 🙂

The beach was dotted with these jellyfish. A friend commented on FB that it looked like a stray breast implant – LOL!

I find it quite inspiring to be able to be away from distractions and able to focus on the future direction of my business. There were several a-ha moments inspired by the amazing speakers and presenters.

It was lovely to have a break from routine and get away from the day-to-day existence of running a business and household.

Have you been on a short break lately? Where did you go?
