Now that 2017 is almost over – how did that happen? – I thought it would be a good time to take stock of my year. A great deal has happened over the past 12 months, although it feels like it’s been 6 months and we should only be halfway through the year!

Taking Stock of 2017

Making: Photos – I love using my creativity to produce a photo each day during my morning walk. Sometimes I snap dozens, other days, just one or two.
Cooking: Healthy foods with plenty of Weight Watchers recipes … and just the odd treat too J
Drinking: Water water water, peppermint tea, and the occasional glass of Prosecco 😉
Reading: Not enough reading was done this year. I have a pile of books awaiting my attention and have promised myself I won’t buy any more until I’ve read some of those already waiting.
Wanting: To continue my success into 2018 and create more fun along the way
Looking: Tired!
Deciding: On business and personal goals for 2018
Wishing: For peace, especially over the festive season
Liking: The scent of freshly mown grass in the air
Wondering: Where 2017 went!
Loving: The festive spirit of most people
Pondering: My next overseas adventure! Also thinking about different ways I can use my photography to help raise money for charity
Listening to: Classic Aussie rock ‘n roll on my morning walk
Considering: Doing more business networking in 2018
Buying: Conference tickets – as an investment in my ongoing professional development
Watching: All 6 series of Downton Abbey on Netflix (I had missed a few episodes) …I still love it!
Hoping: 2018 is a positive year for our daughter, who will be doing her HSC
Needing: To touch base with a few of my old friends – we’ve all had a busy year
Questioning: The Australian education system – it’s so restrictive in content and method, If you don’t conform, you don’t succeed. Is that really an inspiring model for real life after school?
Smelling: Loving my Mango and Papaya scented soy candle
Wearing: Pretty summery dresses and sandals
Knowing: The sun will rise tomorrow – and I’ll see it happen
Thinking: About reading some of those books over the Chrissy break – hopefully!
Admiring: All the green lawns now that we’ve had some rain
Getting: Excited to spend a big family Christmas together this year
Disliking: All the spam emails I’m receiving lately – ugh!
Giggling: With local friends over our long overdue catch ups – why did we wait until Christmas?!
Feeling: Sad that my parents won’t be with us for our family Christmas
Celebrating: Another successful year in business
Pretending: My kids aren’t growing up too fast!
Embracing: Being in my 50’s and loving the age that I am now
