Each Thursday, I link up with a group of fellow bloggers to celebrate all things positive in the Lovin’ Life Linky. This week, I’m highlighting how I’m loving life over summer.
I’m still loving my morning sunrise walks. This particular morning, I slept in a little and got down to the river just after the sunrise, providing a slightly different perspective to my usual pre-dawn shots.
One of the jetties I often visit is in dire need of a few repairs. There are several boards missing on this one – so I had to watch my step!
Another jetty shot. This particular morning, it was low tide, so I went down under the jetty to get a different angle. I played around with the white balance on the phone camera to produce this ink blue shot.
Of course, I’m still loving my early morning beach walks. Rainbow Bay is still a favourite. We held our wedding reception at the Surf Club featured in this shot, so it’s a special place to us.
Swinging the camera the opposite way on Rainbow Bay beach, looking back towards Greenmount Hill and Coolangatta. I love watching the seagulls groom themselves and searching for breakfast.
Depending on the tide, the waves are often crashing over Snapper Rocks when I walk past in the morning. During the summer, there are always more people out and about on their morning walks.
This one was taken last Friday, when there was a group of teenage boogie board riders out trying to catch a wave at Froggy’s Beach. Gotta love the summer school holidays for hanging out with your mates.
We enjoyed an all-too-quick visit to the farm for a big family Christmas, which is a rare treat for us. This is the sunrise on Christmas Eve.
So good to touch the green green grass of home…
We managed to get a few quiet moments to sit and chat on the veranda, but not for long enough… is it ever “long enough”?
After all these years, I’m still discovering different angles and hidden corners for lovely photos down on the farm.
Meet D.T. – aka Donald Trump, so named because he is a bit of a bully, thinks he’s something special and is always pushing the other cattle out of the way. That’s my brother’s sense of humour! 🙂
The Christmas tree dwarfed by gifts for family members, young, old and furry.
Cousins playing games together. Our son received a couple of board games for Christmas, as he loves them, so of course, we had to give them a test run. It was great to enjoy time playing these games together. Thank goodness the Monopoly was left at home! 🙂
Of course, it wouldn’t be summer without the beautiful sight and delicious scent of the frangipani tree, whether the flowers are white, pink or yellow … or any other colour!
Loving late afternoon beach walks with the pooch (once the real heat is out of the summer sun).
Hubby even managed to get her in the water – she’s terrified of the waves!
… one more beautiful dawn shot to finish off the post. This one is this morning’s sunrise – a pretty painted sky. Have a fabulous day! 🙂
